Conversation with Community Manager Brian Mahood
As community development manager, Brian’s goal is to continue growing the amazing community we have at Createscape by applying various skills from his business background and beyond, like project management, marketing, and data analytics. He also helps with the day-to-day operations, such as making coffee, restocking supplies and snacks, helping members, answering emails, assisting with weekend and evening events, and maintenance.
Serving up Community, Pie and Thanks
Last week we had our biggest Thanksgiving feast yet at Createscape, serving lunch to nearly 60 of our members as a thank you for being a part of our community and to just generally celebrate the holiday season. This is our 6th year putting on this Thanksgiving office lunch and it was incredible to see so many awesome folks come together for it in our kitchen.
Your Look at Austin's E.A.S.T. 2019 at Tillery
For the sixth year, Createscape will be a host site for EAST Austin Studio Tour November 16-17 and November 23-24 and we’re gearing up with a lot of great artists who will be putting together exhibitions at the space. The Study Hall, the Studio Space, and the main building hallways along with other neighbor suites at the building will all be transformed into artist galleries for two weekends this month.
Member Q&A with Chris Billig
Chris Billig works full-time for Telefund, which does fundraising work for non-profits and progressive political clients. He also works part time as the social media manager for Primetimer.com, a television news and features site. Chris has been involved in social media for years through his own personal stuff and a soccer site he founded in 2012.
