Stop Sending Business Emails With Typos: Ask Us About Our New Editorial Services
As a member of a coworking space, everyone is guaranteed access to certain equipment and services, from reliable high speed internet to printing and scanning services. Here at Createscape, our coffee, espresso bar, hot tea and filtered water are complimentary. We do sell a variety of snacks and beverages, but for a considerably lower price than you’d pay at the market or bodega. Members get a certain amount of free bookable conference room hours per month, access to five call rooms any time of the day, and an outdoor patio that's equipped with fans and power outlets to accommodate your outdoor workspace needs. These are all baseline services that you'd find at most coworking spaces (though the perks we offer free of charge are not gratis at some other coworking locations).
Over the past few months, we’ve been looking to grow in a different way. Since a significant percentage of the corporate world is more open to hiring remote workers and giving employees flex schedules to work at home some days and in the office other days—a topic we discussed this month in a member Q&A with one of our coworking members—we’re finding that a few of our members have more specialized needs. Our staff has so many diverse strengths, from writing, photography, videography, and social media, to art, money management, Word Processing and more. Many of these skills can be packaged as services for our members- some of them already are, like Vana’s midday arts & crafts breaks. We’re on our way to providing as many of those business-support services as possible.
In a recent office-wide survey, when members said they need an Austin business address, we maximized our virtual mail service. Not only do we accept mail and packages, but companies can register our address on Google. When we noticed members taking calls outside in 100-degree weather, we built out call rooms. When those rooms easily filled up each day, slightly increasing noise levels, we built-out more and installed a phone booth. We also have power cords, chargers, adaptors, monitors and other peripheral equipment that members can borrow.
This month, we're thrilled to be rolling out another service — and this one, we believe, will be incredibly helpful to any professionals who stress about writing emails, press releases, newsletter, social, or website content, and other communications. Read on to find out more about our menu of premium office services.
Editorial Services
This month, we're debuting a new editorial service! Do you ever wish you had a second pair of eyes to proofread your business documents? This service might be beneficial for you if you regularly compose professional emails longer than a few paragraphs, create original content for websites or social media, issue press releases, publish thought leadership papers or white papers, compose other types of professional material, or just need editorial help on any piece of communication. If you’re interested in working with an editor who has years' of experience in writing, editing and proofreading print and digital content.
Editorial services include: An onsite editor will proofread your document for typos, grammar, and light fact checking and then provide feedback on structural changes.
Receptionist
How often have you walked into a coworking office and no one was at the reception desk to welcome you, check you in, find your colleague or guest, or give you door codes and passwords? Here at Createscape, when our office is open, we guarantee you'll find someone at the front desk. Even during lunchtime! So whether you come in for an office tour, need help booking a meeting room, or stop by the desk for a tip about local takeout, you'll be able to speak with a real person.
Reception services: At the Welcome Desk we can update your membership, change the payment method on your account or make a payment for you, help with questions or issues in the member portal, troubleshoot printer problems, greet your visitor and help them find you, and more. If you're not in the office and you need to reach us, we also answer your emails, Discord messages, phone calls and text messages as quickly as possible.
Networking Events
In a CNBC article about remote workers under 30 years of age, Silicon Valley exec, Tim Armstrong, suggested that younger people in the workforce are increasingly missing out on the chance to build-out their career network. It can lead to a future with fewer professional allies and connections, which can result in staying at jobs longer and advancing in their industry at a slower pace compared to Millennials and Gen Xers. This isn't the reason that we have networking events here at Createscape, but we're sure to remind our members the importance of attending business networking events.
Upcoming Networking Events: Every month we host two happy hour events, morning breakfasts to start your day off right and mingle with other members, meetups for professional networking, and for those who like to take a break from work for a short time, we have puzzles or games we regularly put out, or arts & craft sessions where you can learn how to make macramé keychains or let your inner-artist out at adult coloring-book day. See more events here.
Equipment
Have you ever arrived at the office, started setting up your laptop and monitor and realized you left your power cord at home? If that scenario rings a bell, then you'll really appreciate this next perk — and it's available to both members and guests. We have a full inventory of spare components and accessories, for Mac and PC laptops, monitors, phone and laptop charges, and spare computers & tablets. If you're anywhere else, whether at an office building or coffeeshop, it would mean a trip back home. No one wants to do that when gasoline is still over $3 per gallon. A morning like that could ruin your entire day. But at Createscape, we make sure that when you get to the office, you have everything you need.
More office equipment: Laptop stands, mice, keyboards, webcams, chargers, adaptors, and nearly every cable designed for new and old PCs and Macs. We also have a photo studio, photo and video equipment, a coworking partnership with Co-Production House and a discount on Stage & VOLUME rentals.
Virtual Mail
If you want to take your chances on package pirates, by all means go ahead and tell Amazon to leave packages on your doorstep. But if you want a business address and mailbox, someone to sign for your packages and send you notifications when you have mail, then you should sign up for Virtual Mail service. At your request, we’ll scan your mail and email copies directly to your inbox. We can forward mail and packages to any address you want or store them here until you’re ready to pick them up. So, conceivably, you never have to step into the office.
Virtual Mail benefits: A Registered Agent and business address in Austin, Texas. We'll sign for you packages and registered mail from USPS, FedEx, UPS and other delivery services. At your direction, we will forward or scan and email your mail to you. We sign for your packages and hold them, free of charge, for one week.
