Meet Lauren, Createscape’s New Community Manager

We’re excited to welcome Lauren Giebitz to the Createscape team as our new Community Manager!

An Austin native, Lauren traded Texas for Northern California to attend the University of San Francisco. Thankfully for us, the cost of living there brought her back home and eventually to this new role with us here at Createscape.

What did Lauren enjoy about San Francisco life?

“It took me about five years to adjust to the San Francisco environment,” Lauren admits. “Once I got used to it, I loved the natural beauty. Being so close to the ocean, the Redwoods, and the mountains was incredible.”

How does Austin compare to the Bay Area?

The landscape of the Pacific Northwest is just something Austin can’t replicate for Lauren. “I appreciate the plants and animals here, but I haven't found a perfect outdoor substitute for what I miss.”

Life at Home

Lauren's home life is just as busy as the Createscape lobby can get. She's a proud mom to a three-year-old daughter, June, and shares her home with a dog, two cats, with possibly a third feline addition on the way. And even more, if it were up to June.

Discovering Createscape

Lauren's path to working at Createscape has been a “very, very, very long journey.“ After struggling to find work in Austin that suited her, Createscape’s job listing was coincidentally one of the first ones to pop up when she did a search for some of her interests and strengths. “The moment I read the job description I was like, ‘I’m going to work there.’ It wasn't even a question.”

What Lauren loves about working at Createscape

“The community here is amazing,” Lauren says. “The people I work with and the community members I interact with are fantastic. It's a great place to be.”
