Member Q&A with Danielle Lemola-Devereux
Danielle Lemola-Devereux is a digital strategist and owner of Damolade.com. She joined Createscape in February 2017 and comes to work each day accompanied by her terrier mix, Cosmo.
What do you do?
I own and operate Damolade, LLC out of Createscape! I help clients creatively determine their brand, content identity and positioning. I also work with businesses to help them develop powerful marketing strategies and lay the foundation for future marketing & creative projects like copy, web (re)design, SEO and social media.
I also rely on collaboration with other professionals, like copywriters, web developers, and designers, to help me bring everything to life.
What do you want your Createscape coworkers to know about your work?
I can come in at any stage of your product or business and lead discovery processes that help define and develop your brand and content strategy. I have specialties in both SEO & social media marketing and am always on the lookout for new and interesting projects and people to collaborate with!
Right now I’m in the process of launching a new product on my website called a Brand Book. It’s a collaboration, between a designer and a content strategist, that lays out a company’s entire brand and content strategy as an internal team resource. Brand books are always evolving, and they help teams keep their brand assets and content consistent across the web.
Last year I was an SEO Mentor at “Social Media Week Austin” and have written for marketing industry blogs, such as Growth Marketing Conference, Unbounce, and Cloudpeeps.
Where are you from?
I’m a native of Brooklyn, NY, but have been in Austin since 2005. I came here for the more relaxed atmosphere and more comfortable quality of life.
Tell us something about you that has nothing to do with your career.
I love to travel and take photographs with film. The two most interesting places I’ve been able to photograph were Reykjavík, Iceland, for the out-of-this world landscape and rejuvenating geothermal pools and Mexico City, for the delicious food, cool Aztec ruins, and wonderful, warm people.
What do you do for fun?
I like to cook, spend time with friends and family, and my dog, Cosmo. I also enjoy exploring the Austin bar and restaurant scene.
