Createscape: A Home for Austin's Nonprofit Heroes
Nonprofit organizations help communities thrive in our city and across the globe, and we’ve always been proud to have Austin nonprofit organizations as part of our community here at Createscape.
Our ongoing welcome to people who are involved with nonprofits continued with our second National Nonprofit Day Social held in our Howdy Room on August 14.
We were proud to be joined by individuals representing organizations working in the fields of public health, fighting poverty, education, and more. Several speakers shared a bit with the group about what their organizations are about and their community impact.
Vanessa Castro joined us from It’s Time Texas, a statewide organization bringing people together to build stronger, healthier communities. They provide telehealth coaching as well as fitness and nutrition classes both in-person and virtually. The new year brings the It’s Time Texas Community Challenge which had 17,000 participants from 300 communities joining this past winter. Maybe Createscape can help Austin move from the second to first spot in the rankings in 2025!
Createscape member Chanel Marin spoke about the work she does with Third Plateau, a group that helps nonprofit groups with strategy and planning. From leadership development to development guidance, they provide what Chanel refers to as “wraparound systems support.” They help all kinds of organizations with sliding scale fees to fit groups’ needs, and they work with all sectors as they specialize in organizing not industry-specific content.
Other groups represented at the social included Select Centric, the Jeremiah Program, insights4equity, and the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority.
We’re proud that Createscape has been the coworking home for Chanel and many others in the nonprofit world.
Across our workspaces you will find folks from PeletonU helping adults on the path to a post-secondary education, TWA Cares building communities through college athletics, Carbon Tracker researching the impacts of climate change, and many more.
And we hope Createscape can continue to be a great coworking space for Austin nonprofits to flourish, including through the opportunity to apply for a discount on our various membership plans. For more information on our discounts, please email us or inquire at our welcome desk.
