Austin Film Festival, the writers festival, kicks off Thursday, October 13 and runs through Thursday, October 20 with a full week packed with films premieres, conference panels, parties, and so much more. Every year there’s a lot of great movie discoveries, and the programming staff’s dedication to picking story-driven films makes it an especially unique annual event. This year’s conference also brings acclaimed screenwriters and filmmakers like Paul Feig (Ghostbusters, Bridesmaids), Marta Kauffman (Friends), and Nancy Meyers (What Women Want, Something’s Gotta Give).
Creative inspiration often strikes best during the moments between the films and panels, and you might be an Austinite writer or screenwriter from out of town looking to get some writing done of your own while in town. Createscape Coworking is just about 5 minutes east from the hustle and bustle of downtown and is s great quiet environment to write in. For a day pass, you get access to our shared workspace environment, fast Wifi, free coffee and tea, call room use, and we have a big free parking lot so you don’t have to worry about finding a garage or paying the meter.
You can sign up for a day pass on our website contact form, and as a special for the length of the festival you can get your day pass for just $20, or you can get 24/7 workspace pass for all 8 days of the festival for $100.
